Sun Screen lotion or cream and SPF

Bookmark and Share Digg!

Sun burn has always posed a problem to people, particularly for people with light skin. People with dark skin do not suffer as much as people with light color skin. So such people who are allergic to sun rays try to find a cream or lotion to protect their skin. It is reported that the UV rays that reach us from the sun are responsible for this. The skin turns red and for some the rays may cause severe burns. So it is natural to wish for and search for some help.

Exposed skin is normally affected, particularly the face. People who have out-door work and get exposed for a long time and athletes who train and take part in open air sports are the most affected. There are people very sensitive to sun's heat and are affected even when they remain in-doors. Such people certainly need to protect their facial skin to avoid serious problems.

Creams with SPF are applied to escape from the bad effects of hot sun. SPF is short for ‘sun protection factor’ which is found in such creams. They also carry a number like SPF15, SPF20, and SPF 30. This number is indicative of the time for which they protect a person from the bad effects of sun. If the unprotected skin turns red while in sun in five minutes, SPF 20 can extend the time some twenty times-about 60 minutes or an hour.

There seem to be specific creams for oily and dry skins. Titanium and zinc compounds and some herbal items are used as SPF. Many buy such products based on advertisements. One has many ways of analyzing these products on the Internet and it is advisable to look into what they don’t say by comparing competing products. It is also a must to know what type of skin one has, oily or dry and also analyze its sun sensitiveness.

Do proper research and then buy. It is better to meet a specialist in this field or a doctor and get professional advice on these matters before applying any product on the face.

It is great help. I came across a blog in http://nosleguy.blogger.com about skin care in India. Though this is informative how many can get help from honest people. The big market in India is being looted by big names.
