We are what we are and identified by the moral and spiritual courage we have and show. To oppose a wrong we require these. Fear psychosis is used by many, including the dons, who mastermind the underworld. Our fear of physical pain, suffering,loss of the position we hold or the status in society, including the loss of money and other assets make us accept many of the wrong doings of people. Family may also suffer. So many of us succumb to the suppression inflicted on us by others.
Basic moral courage and the will power not to accept a wrong doing will always make us feel happy and satisfied and fruitful. The means through which we try to reach our goals are of more importance than reaching the goal.
The news story about the old woman who fought against the robbers who wanted to snatch away her purse is noteworthy. The courage she had shown was phenomenal. She should have let go of the purse, if she had thought of her physical safety first. It is doubtful whether any of our law enforcers would have shown such courage.She was not afraid of youth and superior strength. What made her fight should have been the ingrained moral strength and the will power she had.
Let us salute her.
