Giving or Gifting?

It is only in the giving of oneself to others that we truly live.

A gift is something special. We have many words which are very near in meaning--endowment, donation, bequest, bestow etc.

Giving is gifting in its higher sense. It may mean an action with good intention of helping another, without any ulterior motive.

It should be an act of pure love. Charity and benevolence, in their real nature, belong to this class and largesse or munificence is characteristic of the blessed and gifted people. The real end of gifting is to end up with giving.
