1. A robot may not injure a human being, or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
2. A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.
These are the laws that Asimov wanted enforced while programming the brains of robots. This may seem to be just fiction and not possible in real life. But the foreseer had certainly given a warning. This is just to stop the use of such robots as soldiers in war or other situations against fellow human beings. This even Shaw has foreseen, when he wrote about the East and West robot-armies meeeting and deciding to make Man their servants. If only such a precaution is possible for every research project, we need not fear the scientists and their political masters. If such care had been taken, we would not have had nuclear weapons and today need not fear the terrorists laying their hands on one.
